½ pound Maine crab meat
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
½ pound cooked Maine lobster
¼ cup minced chives (fresh)
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon Japanese bread crumbs or panko
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
Freshly ground black pepper
1 tablespoon butter
¼ teaspoon dried thyme
2 garlic cloves
Ingredients of tartar Sauce
¼ cup mayonnaise
2 finely chopped cucumber pickles
¼ cup low fat sour cream
2 teaspoons chopped capers
1 teaspoon shallot or chives (finely minced)
2 teaspoons parsley (finely minced)
Freshly ground pepper
Direction for preparing the cake
To prepare the sauce, you need to stir the ingredients of the tartar sauce together in a small bowl.
Then, keep a pan on the flame and season the mixture with fresh pepper and salt. After that, cover the mixture and stir. When it gets mixed properly, take off the bowl from the flames and keep it for cooling.
Take another non-stick pan and melt the butter. Then, put the minced garlic in it and sauté it properly, until it turns golden. Now, take out the garlic and put ½ cup panko and stir it until it turns into golden brown.
Divide the crab cakes and Maine lobster mixture into 8 patties. After sprinkling the remaining portion of bread crumbs, cover it with wax paper. Then put these patties into the oven to bake for 15 minutes (400 degree C)
